Just install 2 AA batteries, set the switch to "flicker", and the flameless candle turns on at dusk, off at dawn. The glowing Amber LED flickers realistically atop a white taper candle. I love these candles!! Great antique look. Candle is very bright. Fits perfectly in windowsill. Originally bought 4 of them from estate sale. Loved them so much. I was so happy to see they were available for purchase.
